At least three people, when wondering when the last time they had sex was, mused, "What year was it?" Oysters were ordered in two different stories. The women Davidson has written about make Anita Blake look fuzzy and cuddly by comparison. Not just your ordinary smartass, but incredibly annoying, never shuts the fuck up smartass. In each story the person being forced upon has no personality besides smartass. They all have the same theme of a main character forcing themselves (romantically in the first 3, friendship in the last) on another person. So many reasons not to like this book :( The main reason is that it is simply poorly written ~ there is no distinction from one character to the next, all of the "voices" sound alike.įurthmore, the stories are all crappily similar. Finally, following the events of Undead and Unreturnable, a psychic werewolf, Antonia Wolfton, receives a vision to show up at Queen Betsy's Minneapolis home to help and falls hard for George, the fiend in the basement.
